Sister is a tongue in cheek tribute to one of Groovy Judy’s musical
mentors, Jimi Hendrix. She draws a lot of inspiration from his guitar
playing, songwriting, colorful dress and overall groovy spirit. She puts
just as much passion into her guitar playing, songwriting and performance,
so if Jimi had a guitar-slinging sister in San Francisco, it would be
Groovy Judy.
Forgive, projects
the simple and straightforward message that we all seem to forget; simply
forgiving one another for the minor problems and
inconveniences someone else may cause and to concentrate on helping each
other. Then, the song undertakes the important message of learning to
forgive ourselves for the mistakes we make through family pressures and
our own insecurity.
